Select Medical's joint venture subsidiary, Concentra operates occupational health centers across states. Critical Illness Recovery Hospital unit consists of hospitals designed to serve the needs of patients recovering from critical illnesses, often with complex medical needs. Rehabilitation Hospital unit consists of hospitals designed to serve patients that require intensive physical rehabilitation care. Patients are typically admitted to critical illness recovery hospitals and rehabilitation hospitals from general acute care hospitals. Select Medical owns 100% of the outstanding membership interests of Concentra Group Holdings Parent. Other activities comprise its corporate shared services, certain investments and employee leasing services provided to related parties affiliated through the company's equity method investments.
