Its Ingalls Shipbuilding segment (Ingalls) and Newport News Shipbuilding segment (Newport News) have built more ships in more ship classes than any other U.S. naval shipbuilder. Ingalls includes its non-nuclear ship design, construction, repair, and maintenance businesses. Newport News includes all of the company's nuclear ship design, construction, overhaul, refueling, and repair and maintenance businesses. It also provides a wide range of professional services, including defense and federal solutions, nuclear and environmental services, and unmanned systems.
