Tonga Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Emissions 1990-2024

Total greenhouse gas emissions in kt of CO2 equivalent are composed of CO2 totals excluding short-cycle biomass burning (such as agricultural waste burning and Savannah burning) but including other biomass burning (such as forest fires, post-burn decay, peat fires and decay of drained peatlands), all anthropogenic CH4 sources, N2O sources and F-gases (HFCs, PFCs and SF6).
  • Tonga greenhouse gas (ghg) emissions for 2020 was 268.34, a 13.58% decline from 2019.
  • Tonga greenhouse gas (ghg) emissions for 2019 was 310.51, a 10.19% increase from 2018.
  • Tonga greenhouse gas (ghg) emissions for 2018 was 281.79, a 0.81% increase from 2017.
  • Tonga greenhouse gas (ghg) emissions for 2017 was 279.51, a 3.77% increase from 2016.
