Importantly, for them, a U.S. Government agency or a U.S. Government-sponsored enterprise (GSE) guarantees the principal and interest payments. The company's investment may also comprise Agency debenture securities, which are issued by Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae, as well as other assets that are convincingly associated with Agency securities.
