U.S. Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Emissions 1990-2023
Total greenhouse gas emissions in kt of CO2 equivalent are composed of CO2 totals excluding short-cycle biomass burning (such as agricultural waste burning and Savannah burning) but including other biomass burning (such as forest fires, post-burn decay, peat fires and decay of drained peatlands), all anthropogenic CH4 sources, N2O sources and F-gases (HFCs, PFCs and SF6).
- U.S. greenhouse gas (ghg) emissions for 2019 was 6,001,209.96, a 1.97% decline from 2018.
- U.S. greenhouse gas (ghg) emissions for 2018 was 6,121,629.88, a 3.43% increase from 2017.
- U.S. greenhouse gas (ghg) emissions for 2017 was 5,918,759.77, a 0.93% decline from 2016.
- U.S. greenhouse gas (ghg) emissions for 2016 was 5,974,200.20, a 1.78% decline from 2015.
