Australia Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Emissions 1970-2021

Total greenhouse gas emissions in kt of CO2 equivalent are composed of CO2 totals excluding short-cycle biomass burning (such as agricultural waste burning and Savannah burning) but including other biomass burning (such as forest fires, post-burn decay, peat fires and decay of drained peatlands), all anthropogenic CH4 sources, N2O sources and F-gases (HFCs, PFCs and SF6).
  • Australia greenhouse gas (ghg) emissions for 2012 was 761,686.27, a 3.07% decline from 2011.
  • Australia greenhouse gas (ghg) emissions for 2011 was 785,795.15, a 0.47% increase from 2010.
  • Australia greenhouse gas (ghg) emissions for 2010 was 782,102.69, a 29.23% decline from 2009.
  • Australia greenhouse gas (ghg) emissions for 2009 was 1,105,167.24, a 23.81% increase from 2008.
